There is no colour in physiscs, there are only ray of light with significant longitude. When the eyes see certain objects, the light of that objects reflect to the eyes, it creates the colour. Normal human eyes has the ability to keep separate hundreds of ray of light that received by sensoric cel of retina. This ability made human as living creature that aware of the world of colour.

Naming the Colour – in Physics

What is the meaning when we said that the sky has blue colour or red is colour of rose?

As you know that our eyes has the ability to keep separate hundreds of ray of lights, but the lecsicon is limited. We are naming the colour by our perception between the range of prototype waves. Sample, red colour is the colour that has many red colour attributes than orange, and so the other way.

Psychological perception of colour actually is only a subjectively experience, that is the reason why the length of the waves of ray of light made two persons described one same colour with a little bit different, such as it’s blue or no it’s a dark blue.

White

White is bearing the symbol of purity, holyness, clean. West culture put the white gown for brides since it symbolized the virginity and holiness of the church. While doctor, nurse and laboratorium staffs wear white cloth to prove about absolutely sterile and clean. White means also bright, calm, cool and fresh like a summer breeze.

Black

Black the controversional. One side, it symbolized as the darkness, mystic, magic, sorrowful, death, horror, and evil. But at the other side, it also presents about strong, formal, tough, great, otority, wise, mature and powerful. Many people like black colour in their own reason, people wear black in fashion, seems look cool, formal, minimalis and for young women, they wear black to become slimmer.

Purple

Purple symbolized royalty, luxurious, wealthy, perfection and romantic but the other way it also resemblance the pain and sorrowful.

Purple colour rare to find in nature. Pre-hystoric used certain types of shell to create purple colour. In catholic/Christian, purple has special meaning as the colour of God, since it presence His Noble and Royal. Catholic priest wears purple cape and also cloth, binstead of gold,  for every mass or sacrament.

Brown

Brown represent the soil of land, woods and nature. Brown is one of strong colour, symbolized neutral, natural and comfort. Brown also communicates about credibility, solid, mature and strength, instead of sorrow and dirty but it depends on kinds of brown colour itself.

Orange

Orange usually related to warm, friendly, healthy and success. Orange is the most colour that link to the taste, many restaurants and food places put orange as their corporate colour. Orange also resemblance about friendship, open wide, no secret and consumeable. It takes from the orange fruit which got the sama name, safe for consuming and one of the most favourites. Budhist and Hindus wears orange colour beside deep yellow as their sacred colour, since it presents as natural balance.

Blue

Blue, just like black blue also has two personality. One side, it symbolized bout sadness, alone, exile and toxic. While the other side presents about loyality, steady, peace and productive. Blue not so good to be put on anything related to food, since it will present of poison and toxic. But room that painted with blue colour, will help the people inside the room feel peaceful, and it was said that student in blue class room will produce better scoring and ranks. The letter in blue colour also said easily to be remembered.

Red

Red is the most popular colour. It means hot, fire, blood, sweet, sexy, passion, love, power and jovial. In the world of business, red is the trusted colour that will stimulate people to make fast and good decision. Red is the most attractive colour, many advertisement and giant billboard put red on the background to attract people’s attention to put the image of certain brands. Red is also extreme colour, it has emotional in it. Women in red dress looks very glamour, very sexy and lustful, but it will trigger big confrontation if the red dress went into mourning.

Green

Green related to symbiotic and pointing to natural concept. It means that green related to life, young and hope. Green also the colour which the calmest, softest for eyes, enchance the eyesight nad got neutral effect for human’s nerve system. Green got so many symbolic in meaning, dark green means masculine, conservative and wealthy. Olive green means calm. Muslims use green as their sacred colour.

Yellow

Yellow is the bright colour. If we are colouring something in white surface with yellow colour, it seems easier to be full even not all the surface is covered, it because yellow is bright even too bright for our eyes. Yellow produce the scent of warm, sharp, light, creativity, playful and easy going. Pure Yellow symbolized about happym cearful and awareness. While Dingy Yellow present about rotten, sick and jealousy. Budhist and Hindus put yellow, beside orange as their sacred colour for its present the natural balance and low profile.

Pink

Pink is the most romantic colour, it is soft and loveable. Pink makes people feel safe, calm, comfortable, sensitive and that’s the reason why Valentine’s day celebrates all in pink colour, beside red. What is the weird of this colour? Actually there is none, except one thing, even it is the most loveable among the colours, why there is no religion use pink as their sacred colour, dunno why.. maybe to much love will kill ya.

Grey

Grey implying something that is uncertain, unclear, not sure. Maybe it is the reason why public in law and legal entity wears grey in uniform, since it present about uncertainty? The guilty could be sentenced free because of the uncertainty of law, all in grey area just like people said.

But the grey especially in metallic or silver also resemblances about elegance, futuristic and long lasting. Building design and fashion which has futuristic in purpose of meaning, all set in silver colour. Almost 90% electronic stuffs put silver colour in their design to enhance the elegance in look, modern and long lasting. Silver is the second colour that precious after gold.
